Content

In this session, we have a closer look on the relation to your supervisor. You can share and discuss challenges as well as best practice examples concerning thisrelationship. This way, the session aims to help you build a cooperation with your supervisor that supports you with your doctorate.

We will focus on your cases which will be discussed confidentially using the method of collegial consultation. The session will be highly interactive.

To make the most out of this event, it is important that a safe and transparent atmosphere is created. We ask that you maintain discretion about the topics discussed and to attend the online meeting in an appropriate environment, preferably at a place where you will not be disturbed. If you happen to be in a room where other people are present, make sure to use headphones to maintain confidentiality.

Furthermore, we ask you to make sure that your internet connection is stable, so that you can turn on your video and participate actively. As sensitive topics might be discussed, it creates a more trusting environment, if everybody agrees to show their faces.

Credits and Work units
Many doctoral programs award credit points for participation in workshops and other qualification programs. One work unit (WU) corresponds to 45 minutes of workshop time. In some cases they might round up.
  • 8 work units equal 0.5 credit points.
  • For shorter workshops, credits are calculated proportionally based on the work units.
  • Credit transfer requires the accumulation of a sufficient number of work units.

Example: Participation in two workshops of three hours each result in a total of 8 work units and therefore 0,5 credit points would be granted. As the transfer of credits is decided by the doctoral programs or doctoral offices, please contact them directly with any questions in this regard.
