The aims of the workshop are:

- Develop a critical position towards legacy practices
- Find your own publishing strategies vis-à-vis open science/humanities
- Become resilient to publish or perish stress

- Authorship as the basic for academic careers and knowledge production (?)
- Publish or perish: the publishing zeitgeist and its limits
- Publishing brands, publishers and publishing genres
- Publishing metrics (impact factor, h-index, altmetrics, and a million more)
- New developments: preprints, open access, open science/humanities, open X
- Science communication
- Publishing strategies: writing against uncertain futures
