The Berlin University Alliance (BUA) is an alliance of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Together, they are pursuing the goal of creating and shaping an integrated research space in Berlin. This alliance aims to establish Berlin as a leading international science location. All workshops and events offered by the Graduate Studies Support Program are funded by the BUA and therefore free of charge.

Objectives

Achieving goals  such as completing a research project is challenging. Decisions have to be made that need to be questioned and reflected upon.  Even though we have a social network of friends and family, they might not understand ones professional troubles. The doctorate can be a very stressful time.  Being in work-off mode can make alternative approaches seem out of sight. An outside perspective and the exchange with peers can be helpful. A peer support group ( after the idea of a success team) is more than just about celebrating achievements. During the meetings, the group is encouraged to support each other without supervision using a specific support method. The team will determine how, how often and for how long the collaboration will continue.

Three meetings will be acompanied by the coach, the following meetings will be set and held by the group after learning the method. The first meeting will take place in person. The second and third meeting can be offered both in person or online. (Dates will be set with the group).  More supervised sessions with the coach can be offered on demand.
