For doctoral researchers of all disciplines in the middle or nearing the end of their doctoral project.

 

Objectives

 “Chance favors the prepared mind” - This quote by Louis Pasteur applies to both academic work and career development. The individual has a strong responsibility for career development, so set yourself up for lucky coincidences – no matter if you want to pursue a career in academia or in other sectors.
Are you in the middle of your doctoral project or nearing the end of it? Are you asking yourself about how you can prepare for your future career and possibly a transition to another field of work? In this Open Door Talk, we will provide information on how to build an individual career strategy, shedding light on the aspects of self-reflection, decision-making, visibility and creating a job application. Moreover, a special focus is on networking and how to take career-related advantage.
