Objectives and Content

This workshop is part of the new Dahlem Research School Podcast Series Season 1.

Academia or Industry? Where am I going?

In this workshop, we're going to develop a set of tools which can help you navigate the choice between staying in academia or changing into a different area. If you’ve already decided to leave academia, you can use this workshop to develop a sense of direction and an idea of where you’d like to go next.

This session will help you answer the following questions:

What am I motivated by? What interests me? What kind of work might be meaningful to me?

How can I reflect on my past experiences in a way that will help me better understand where I want to go in the future?

What other tools and strategies exist that might help me feel more confident about my career path?
