In addition to other key aspects, the Graduate Study Support team offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary qualification program that addresses the following topics in five core modules: "Kick off your doctorate" retreats, an "(In)Credible Research" conference, online and in person "Writing Week", "Mental Health Days" and a "Career Day".
Participation
Doctoral researchers (all disciplines) of the Berlin University Alliance.
Objectives and Content
The goal of this core event is to teach strategies for strengthening (psychological) resilience and stress tolerance during doctoral research process in situations of crises, as well as for effective crisis prevention. The “Mental Health Retreat” is organized twice a year in the shape of a blended format, where participants learn to identify typical symptoms of stress and take effective preventive measures. The module begins with a two-day event to teach and apply various methods, followed by a four-week online period to support a transfer of methods and practices into everyday life and to promote exchange. The retreat concludes with a follow-up workshop that provides participants with an opportunity to reflect and give feedback as well as creating self-organized peer groups.
This event will take place in English and German and will be offered in two parallel groups. For further information and registration please check the website of TU Berlin
