Objectives and Content
Are you nearing the end of your university studies? Have you completed your exams and are now contemplating whether to pursue a doctorate? Perhaps the idea of a doctorate has been suggested to you. The decision regarding a doctorate involves more than just choosing a suitable topic; it also requires addressing various organizational and personal considerations.
When weighing the pros and cons, factors such as your motivation, professional goals, and commitment to years of rigorous scientific work come into play. Once you decide to pursue a doctorate, it’s essential to address practical aspects like finding a supervisor, securing funding, and navigating the admission process. By addressing these questions early on, you’ll establish a solid foundation for a successful dissertation project.
If you’re interested in pursuing a doctorate, consider checking our self-assessment checklist: https://www.fu-berlin.de/sites/drs/resources/documents/Selbstcheck-Promo...
Additionally, after the Open Door Talk, there will be an information session on the current call for applications for the Elsa Neumann Scholarships for doctoral researchers in Berlin.
